Birkenhead Point

Reimagining the whole shopping experience while taking into account the specifications of a heritage-listed property reinstatement and remediation was a challenge we couldn’t refuse. An integrated and safe system was a priority, with DDA provisions upgraded throughout the entire centre as well as hard services upgrades including Fire, Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic. Further carpark extension works mean that customers can comfortably travel to and from the centre with ease. Australian business woman Roxy Jacenko publicised the grand opening of this centre, and we couldn’t have been more proud of our team for undertaking such a large-scale specialised project.

Working within a $7.1m budget over an eight month program, Veles took the opportunity to transform various layers of Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre with precision and consideration. From the moment customers stepped into the complex, we wanted the architecture to invite them into a new world, with a full refurbishment of the main entrance corso, entire level two shop front upgrades across fifteen tenancies, 8m high Glass Atrium Works and the incorporation of special materials for that unique touch in various spaces. Creating a luxurious feel, we designed a lift lobby, installed two Vertical Transport systems and undertook 2000m2 worth of tile rectification and integration. We made sure to honour and showcase nothing but each brand’s best, working with high level tenancies such as D&G, Bally, Coach, Ital Collezione, Harolds, Oroton and Peter’s of Kensington. An integrated and safe system was a priority, with DDA provisions upgraded throughout the entire centre as well as hard services upgrades including Fire, Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic. Further carpark extension works mean that customers can comfortably travel to and from the centre with ease.
